UTV Pictures’ Deiva Thirumagal has bagged a clean U certificate from the Censor Board recently. Reportedly the Censor Board officials were very impressed with the film and also rated it as one of the best performances in Vikram’s career. The film, which is expected to grace theatres on July 15, 2011, will release in more than 400 screens across the country. Like his earlier movies Anniyan (Aparichitudu), Pithamagan (Siva Putrudu), Kanthaswamy (Mallanna) and Raavanan, Vikram’s Deiva Thirumagal is also being dubbed in Telugu (as Naana). Music composed by G.V. Prakash is already topping the charts.
Starring Vikram as Krishna, a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old, the film has Anushka playing the role of a lawyer, while Amala Paul plays an important role. Nirav handles the camera while Madaraspattinam Vijay is the director.
